SPS Spark Plasma Sintering Furnace
Category: Hot-press sintering
Overview
Technical Specifications
This product, the Spark Plasma Sintering (SPS) furnace, is a cutting-edge technology for the rapid consolidation of powders. SPS employs a high-current pulsed power supply to initiate and accelerate the consolidation and reactive sintering processes of materials. Compared with conventional techniques, SPS allows precise control over the density of various conductive, non-conductive, and composite materials, enabling it to be tailored to any desired target value. Moreover, SPS significantly reduces both processing time and energy consumption while effectively preserving the material’s micro- and nanostructures. Consequently, since its inception, SPS has rapidly emerged as an indispensable tool in numerous fields, including scientific research, new-material development, and industrial production.
The discharge plasma sintering system can achieve temperatures up to 2000°C. It is suitable for material annealing, hot-press bonding, surface treatment, and synthesis, among other applications. The samples that can be processed include metals, ceramics, nanomaterials, and amorphous materials. This equipment is particularly well suited for research on solid-state electrolytes and thermoelectric materials.
