PP Chamber Spin Coater

Category: Programmable Spin Coater

This model of spin coater has been miniaturized and features an all-aluminum alloy frame with a PP engineering-plastic chamber. It can coat liquid or colloidal materials onto substrates such as silicon wafers, crystals, quartz, and ceramics to form thin films, and is primarily used in applications including photoresist spin coating, preparation of biological culture media, and sol–gel fabrication of polymer thin films.

Overview

Technical Specifications

This PP chamber spin coater is a spin-coating device with a polypropylene (PP) chamber, which significantly reduces the instrument’s footprint while effectively maintaining its performance and functionality. The instrument is equipped with an advanced precision motor capable of reaching a maximum speed of 8,000 rpm. Control is via push buttons and a high-brightness LCD display. In addition to direct spin coating, it can also pre-store spin-coating profiles for programmable coating, making it an ideal choice for laboratory procurement.

Key features:
1. Excellent corrosion resistance: PP (polypropylene) is stable in most acid, alkali, and salt solutions as well as common organic solvents, exhibiting low susceptibility to corrosion and swelling, making it suitable for use with mildly to moderately corrosive coatings.
2. Lightweight and highly resilient: the material has low density, resulting in a lightweight cavity; it also exhibits excellent toughness, making it resistant to impact and breakage, with superior operational stability and minimal risk of metal debris contamination.
3. Non-stick and easy to clean: the smooth, non-polar PP surface prevents adhesive liquids and residual glue from adhering.
4. Cost-effective and highly economical: the PP chamber is easy to manufacture and has lower production costs, making it ideal for routine R&D and small-to-medium batch spin-coating applications in laboratories.
5. Safe and environmentally friendly, with no metal leaching; exhibits high chemical stability, ensuring no metal ion release; compatible with sensitive coatings, photoresists, and other process steps; safe and eco-friendly to use.
